Medical Murder Mystery

… My daughter has been skyrocketing academically, athletically, musically, and spiritually, and honestly I am very thankful for your guidance and mentoring in her development thus far. My daughter and I began watching “Diagnosis” this evening on Netflix which reports on true medical mysteries. The focus is on what undiagnosed patients have and why they go undiagnosed, and of course these are real people. My daughter wanted to watch it; this is one of her areas of interest, and she wants to be a naturopath doctor. She was not just completely fascinated by each case, but also actively (and accurately) problem-solving as the case unfolded. For example, when doctors and others were wondering if a patient’s condition was genetic, my daughter was telling the doctors to test the patient’s parents and even test the siblings, and she wondered why the doctors had not thought of this! Furthermore, my daughter was correcting inaccurate statements made by some on the medical show. For example, when someone expressed concern about the patient’s left brain given the repeated seizures of the patient’s left leg/foot and left arm, my daughter firmly stated out loud: “Well that’s not true! I remember Dr. Criley said that the right hemisphere of the brain controls the left side of the body, and the left hemisphere of the brain controls the right side of the body.” She stated this confidently and authoritatively, and I felt so impressed. I am so appreciative of your guidance and mentoring. Your medical mysteries class was a winner. I knew it then. I still know it now. But all of your classes are winners. Hats off to you and your co-instructor husband. I hope we see more of you this year! 🙇‍♀️📖 Signed, Grateful mother
